I have a wide array of experience of working with children.
I have always been interested in working with children. Even in elementary school, I knew that one day I was going to be like my teachers.
My child care and teaching career began at just age 16. My sophomore year of high school, I left the public school and became homeschooled. My grades jumped up and I had free time. In that free time, I became a nanny to three amazing children. They solidified my decision to pursue my professional education.
In 2014, I started that adventure. I went to Indiana Wesleyan University and earned my degree in Children's Ministry and Christian Education.
As soon as I graduated, I entered the workforce. I worked in child care professionally from 2019-2024. I left the child care setting to pursue new endeavors.
I love tutoring one-on-on and small groups. I have always been told that is where my strengths are.
I am also actively a children's pastor, and have been since 2019.
That's the short version of my professional story.
Now I just want to share the fun parts of my life.
I live with my family and 6 cats in rural Indiana. I can tell you which cat is talking to me, or even walking towards me without even looking.
When I am not found working with children or playing with my cats, I can be found doing puzzles, enjoying Chicago Cubs baseball, planning trips (or finally taking them), or creating projects using my Cricut. I love learning new ways to use my Cricut.
